Strategies that provide nurturing and supportive interactions within a responsive infant and toddler environment will be explored. The participants will reflect upon who they are as infant and toddler educators and be inspired to establish responsive and respectful, relationships with the children and families in their programs. The importance of developing emotional and social attachments and relationships with infants and toddlers will be examined.

Trainer: Gail Epstein
Gail Epstein has been part of The Institute for Education and Professional Development, Inc.’s training team since its inception. She holds a Master of Science in Education and is an early childhood specialist who has been supporting early childhood educators throughout her career. She is passionate about the importance of social emotional learning, responsive and respectful caregiving, and the value of supporting families. Many of the classes and workshops Gail has written focus on these tenets as well as on infant and toddlers development. Throughout her career, Gail has excelled at jobs that support children and families. These include: Adjunct at Quinsigamond Community College, Behavior Consultant for JFCS, Infant and Toddler Specialist for the Attleboro Family Network and Senior Trainer at The Institute for Education and Professional Development, Inc. She has written many CEU approved courses, workshops and web based seminars.
