Terrific Toddlers: Building Self Esteem While Guiding Challenging Behaviors

As toddlers assert their independence and gain mastery over themselves and their environment, they often exhibit behaviors that pose challenges for early childhood educators. During this 2 hour training strategies for guiding these behaviors will be identified. Topics will include toddler social/emotional development, typical toddler behaviors, educator strategies that guide behaviors while building self-esteem, and talking with parents.

Trainer: Gail Epstein

Gail Epstein, M.S.Ed is an early childhood specialist who has been supporting early childhood, educators throughout her career. She is passionate about the importance of social emotional learning, responsive and respectful caregiving, and the value of supporting families. Many of the classes and workshops Gail has written focus on these tenets as well as on infant and toddlers development.


Throughout her career, Gail has excelled at jobs that support children and families. These include: Adjunct at Quinsigamond Community College, Behavior Consultant for JFCS, Infant and Toddler Specialist for the Attleboro Family Network and Senior Trainer at The Institute For Education and Professional Development. She has written many CEU approved courses, workshops and web based seminars.
