PLC Training: Babies are constantly growing in every way, but social emotional development is at the center of it all. This training provides content on how infants and toddlers build their sense of self, and how that translates to behavior that can be confusing to their caregivers. PLC sessions provide the opportunity to learn strategies for supporting babies’ social and emotional needs, in the context of current health and safety guidelines. 

Facilitator: Patricia Chapple

Tricia Chapple has facilitated small business courses for early education and care providers with SBIC UMass Boston Innovation and Tech Goes Home and with the Besse Tart Wilson Initiative for over 5 years. She is a NAEYC mentor serving community organizations and Boston Public Schools to ensure the 10 standards of NAEYC accreditation are met in a thoughtful way. Tricia also works as an Education Strategist at Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester. She owned her own family child care business for 13 years and served over 400 children in her community
